Sending Broadcasts

Send one-off email broadcasts to your waitlist with personalization, rich formatting, and delivery tracking.

What are broadcasts?

Broadcasts are one-off emails you send to your entire waitlist. Use them to announce your launch, share updates, ask for feedback, or build anticipation. Every broadcast includes open and click tracking so you can measure engagement.

Creating a broadcast

From your dashboard, go to the Broadcasts tab and click New broadcast. This opens the broadcast editor with a full-screen split layout: the sidebar on the left for composing, and a live preview on the right.

The editor

The editor sidebar has three parts:

  • Subject line— appears in your subscribers' inbox. This is required before sending.
  • Preview text — the short snippet shown below the subject line in most email clients.
  • Message body — a rich text editor where you compose your email. Supports bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, blockquotes, and text alignment (left, center, right).

The preview updates instantly as you type, so you always know what your email will look like.

Personalization with merge tags

Make every email feel personal by inserting merge tags. These are replaced with each subscriber's data when the email is sent:

TagResolves to
{{subscriber.name}}Subscriber's name (or "subscriber" if blank)
{{subscriber.email}}Subscriber's email address
{{waitlist.name}}Your waitlist name
{{waitlist.total_subscribers}}Total subscriber count

Click a merge tag in the Variables dropdown to insert it at your cursor position. In the editor preview, tags show as raw {{}} so you can verify they're in the right place. They're resolved when the email is sent.

Saving drafts

Not ready to send? Click Save to save your broadcast as a draft. Drafts appear in your broadcasts list with a Draft badge. Click any draft to pick up where you left off — your subject, preview text, and message body are preserved exactly.

Testing your broadcast

Before sending to your entire waitlist, send a test email to yourself. Click Send test — the email is delivered to your account email with all merge tags resolved using your own account details.

After sending a test, you'll need to wait 90 seconds before sending another. The button shows a countdown so you know when it's available again. Test emails don't count toward your monthly broadcast limit.

Sending

When you're ready, click Send. A confirmation dialog shows you how many subscribers will receive the email and reminds you of your plan's monthly limit.

Once sent, the broadcast cannot be unsent. Make sure to test and review your email before sending.

Viewing results

After sending, the broadcast detail page shows:

  • Sent — total number of emails delivered
  • Opens — unique open count and rate
  • Clicks — unique click count and rate
  • Reach — percentage of your waitlist that received the email

The broadcasts list view shows a visual rate bar for each broadcast, making it easy to compare performance at a glance.

Plan limits

The Free plan includes 5 broadcasts per month. Paid plans include more (see the pricing page for details). Your broadcasts page shows a monthly usage meter so you always know how many you have left.

You're ready to send your first broadcast.
