How to Add a Waitlist to Weebly (Embed Code)
Add a GetWaitly waitlist to Weebly with the Embed Code element — no coding — plus a hosted-page iframe fallback when the embed is blocked.
Weebly is a drag-and-drop site builder, which means you can add a real waitlist without touching a code editor. Weebly's Embed Code element accepts custom HTML, so the GetWaitly widget drops straight into your page — form on your domain, styled to match.
Here is how to add a waitlist to Weebly, plus the fallback if your plan or theme gives the embed trouble.
The short answer
Drag an Embed Code element onto your Weebly page, paste the two-line GetWaitly snippet, and publish. The form starts collecting signups in about five minutes. No code to write, no separate email tool.
What you need
- A GetWaitly account with a waitlist created (the free plan covers 100 subscribers).
- A Weebly site you can edit and publish.
Step 1 — Create your waitlist and copy the snippet
In your GetWaitly dashboard, create a waitlist and set its headline, accent color, and font. Open Settings → Widget and copy the embed snippet. It looks like this:
<script src="https://getwaitly.com/widget.js" defer></script>
<div class="gw-widget" data-waitlist-id="YOUR_WAITLIST_ID"></div>
The widget inherits your waitlist's branding, so it matches your Weebly page without extra styling.
Step 2 — Add an Embed Code element in Weebly
- Open your site in the Weebly editor.
- In the left panel, open the Embed Code category and drag the Embed Code element onto the page where the form should go.
- Click the element, then click Edit Custom HTML.
- Paste the two lines from Step 1.
Step 3 — Publish and test
Click Publish in the top-right. Open the live page (not the editor) and submit a test email. Confirm the subscriber appears in your GetWaitly dashboard.
If the form does not show, check that both lines were pasted (the <script> and the <div>), and give the element a little width so the form has room.
The fallback: use the hosted page
If your Weebly plan or theme interferes with the embed, publish GetWaitly's hosted page instead. It is a complete signup page served by GetWaitly, so there is nothing for Weebly to block.
- In your dashboard, publish the hosted page at
getwaitly.com/w/your-id. - In Weebly, either link a button to that URL, or add an Embed Code element with an iframe:
<iframe
src="https://getwaitly.com/w/YOUR_WAITLIST_ID"
style="width:100%;height:640px;border:0"
title="Join the waitlist"
></iframe>
The link option is usually cleaner on mobile.
What you get
- A styled signup form matching your accent color and font
- Optional name, phone, and custom questions
- Referral links and queue positions (Starter plan and above)
- Broadcast emails with open and click tracking (Starter and above)
- Analytics: views, signups, conversion rate, 30-day trend
FAQ
Can I add a waitlist to Weebly without coding?
Yes. You paste a snippet into Weebly's Embed Code element — no programming. If you would rather not paste anything, link to the hosted page instead.
Why is my Weebly embed blank?
Usually the <div> or the <script> was missed, or the element has no height. Re-paste both lines and widen the element. If it still fails, use the hosted-page iframe.
Does Weebly change how the form looks?
Weebly's theme styles can affect fonts inside embedded elements. The widget uses your waitlist's font and accent color, but if the theme overrides it, the hosted page gives you full control.
Is this free?
Yes. The free plan includes the embeddable widget, a hosted page, analytics, and up to 100 subscribers. Referrals and broadcasts start at $5/mo.
